Jacqueline K. Ndiaye

Holder of a Master 2 in Intellectual Property option Intellectual Creations obtained at the University Montesquieu Bordeaux IV, Jacqueline NDIAYE was Assistant to the Head of the Legal Department of the Senegalese Office of Copyright (collective rights management company).
This was an opportunity for her to work on license agreements for online exploitation of works, in particular for YouTube and Deezer platforms.
She participated in the REGIONAL SEMINAR ON SIGNAL PIRACY JOHANESBURG, 06 - 7 June 2011 which objectives was to prepare for the 22nd session of the Special Committee on Copyrights and Related Rights (SCCR) and to lobby and consolidate Africa’s position regarding the treaty on the protection of broadcasting organizations.
She was Independent Contractor Researcher from June 20 to July 31, 2013 for the African Conference on Creative Economy (A.C.E) and from Oct. 1 to Nov. 26, 2011 for the ARTWATCH project (see report: http://issuu.com/nadiank/docs/artwatch_africa_report_).

She currently holds the position of Head of the Legal and International Affairs Department within the Senegalese Society for Copyright and Related Rights (SODAV), which has concluded its first license agreement authorizing the exploitation of the works manage by SODAV with the administrators of the Senegalese platform Musik Bi on December 16, 2021 and soon with ZIKSEN DIGSTER and DEEDO.
Within SODAV, she is the Project Manager for the implementation of reproduction rights by reprography and the focal point within the framework of the partnership with GIZ.
