SA: Watch Ndlovu Youth Choir's coronavirus video

The video, titled ‘We've Got This – Fight Against Coronavirus/COVID-19’, encourages people to practice preventive measures such as social distancing and the washing of hands.

“There are already many dangerous myths and misunderstandings about the Coronavirus/COVID-19,” Ndlovu Youth Choir wrote on Twitter. “We would like to assist by sharing a short video where we explain some basic guidelines.”

The guidelines in the video include hand washing, not touching your face and covering your cough or sneeze with tissue or your elbow.

The choir urges South Africans to call the COVID-19 hotline on 0800 029 999 for additional information. It has also encouraged people to stop spreading rumours or panic.

The choir made waves last year following its nomination at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards in the Independent Music Video category. The ensemble also made the finals of the America's Got Talent competition. The achievement was recognised by Limpopo sport, arts and culture MEC Thandi Moraka who awarded the choir R1m ($66 000).
