Paul Payne837 (real names Penyani Paul Phiri) is a musician from Zambia. His stage name was inspired Romans 8:37. His love for hip-hop music began when he was 14 years old. He later changed his focus to gospel music while listening to gospel radio show called ‘New Generation’. Hosted by Abel Chungu Musuka, the show played a number of gospel songs which prompted Paul to leave secular music.

In December 2015 he released a song called ‘Anikonda’ meaning “Loves Me“. In this song Paul Payne is telling his fans how he was locked in the House Of Pain. According to the song, he used to be lonely before he became a Christian but he was freed by God. Some of his popular tracks include ‘Makenika’, ‘Gods Love’ featuring Gods Apple and ‘Anikonda’.
