Rapcha

Cosmas Paul Mfoy, popularly known as Rapcha is a Tanzanian rapper, songwriter, and singer. He was born on 23 September 1999 at Shinyanga municipal after his parents departed from Kilimanjaro for entrepreneurial activities in Shinyanga. In 2003 his Father passed away in a fatal accident and from then Rapcha was Raised by his mother and grew up with his brother Nobert Paul.

Rapcha recognized his talent at early childhood stage, within the periods he used to sing other famous artist's hit songs. At the age of 11 years old, Rapcha started writing his own verses growing up his talent. The next year, he joined his mother singing in the church choir and beside that, he also started visiting studios in Shinyanga though he couldn’t pay for the recording sessions.  Scardee was the first producer to know Rapcha's ability after listening to his verses and undoubtedly he gave him a chance to record a verse in Shytown Cypher. In which, Rapcha did only 6 bars and it marked his first time in Studio recording session.

Rapcha accomplished his primary education in 2012 and joined Shinyanga secondary school in 2013, where he performed as a rapper in different school events like graduation ceremonies. People appreciated his skills and amused with his ability at a very young age.
In 2014, Rapcha met his friend called Chatta. A friend whom led him to different studios in Shinyanga where they made songs of different genres and released them in different websites. These marked an important milestone for Rapcha as he became know by all producers in his town and had a chance to record without paying any penny.

In secondary school, Rapcha with his friends Friday Pol and Ben Sua formed a Rap Crew known as BORNLATE MUSIC GANG and recorded several songs like 'Wajipange' and 'weekend'. Later on, Rapcha joined his friend Chatta in the Crew and worked together.

Rapcha released his first song as solo artist titled Chafu in 2015. In 2016, he released ,'MAD OVER YOU REMIX' , 'NAMTAKA ', and in 2017 , 'KIJOGOO ' and other songs were released. He promoted his songs through social media and some few local radios in Mwanza and Shinyanga,Tanzania.

In 2018 Rapcha released his Debut mixtape titled JUST A STEP MIXTAPE which introduced him to many of his fans in Tanzania. The mixtape was supported with 10 songs and he started promoting it on different social media so as to reach people easily. In June, 2018 P-Funk Majani spotted Rapcha through Instagram when he was promoting his mixtape by posting video clips. Pfunk Majani decided to check him and in December, 2018 Rapcha met Pfunk Majani for the first time in Dar Es Salaam and in 2019 he was officially signed to Bongo Records Ltd Label.
