Lady Zamar to conclude Jameson Smooth Session Saturday series
South African singer Lady Zamar will conclude the Jameson Smooth Session Saturday online series on 16 May.
Jameson Smooth Session Saturday began in April with a performance by local rapper Kwesta, who was followed by K.O., NaakMusiQ and Emtee, respectively. The sessions form part of the Jameson Connects: The Stay Inn virtual platform.
The ‘More and More’ singer will perform live via the Jameson SA YouTube channel at 5pm. Local comedian and actress Celeste Ntuli will join host Glen Biderman-Pam for the Sunday Special via Instagram Live at 3pm. Thereafter, the comics will move over to Jameson SA IGTV for hilarious comedy skits and sketches.
“I am performing live this Saturday for Jameson Smooth Sessions, it will be broadcast on my Facebook page and JamesonSA YouTube,” Lady Zamar wrote on Twitter.
The online event aims to eliminate social boundaries while encouraging people to overcome their fears and reconnect as a global family. It also seeks to raise funds for bartenders and restaurant workers affected by the COVID-19 crisis. Jameson will donate money for a certain number of people who tune in to watch the live streams.
Meanwhile, Kwesta will announce the winner of the Kwesta Rap a Verse competition at the end of May. The competition was made possible through his partnership with the Irish whiskey brand. The winner of the competition will get to collaborate with Kwesta on his upcoming album and stand a chance to win a trip to the Jameson distillery in Ireland.
