Dancefair to hold free virtual music conference
Dancefair recently announced the online edition of its annual music conference, which will be livestreamed on 5 and 6 September 2020.
The free conference will feature a programme of more than 200 events including 16 virtual rooms with music production masterclasses by some of the biggest artists in electronic music, mixing and mastering workshops, publishing and label panels, live Q&A sessions, and a virtual expo floor. Additionally, there will be virtual demodrops, one-on-one sessions and chat rooms for like-minded music makers in different genres.
“We found a way to keep everyone safe and to still deliver the connection and celebration that have brought so many of you to the event each year,” Dancefair founder Norman Soares said. “We have decided to hold Dancefair virtually and we’ll release details about what that will look like over the next month.”
Nine years since it was first held, Dancefair now attracts more than 7 000 music makers and professionals from around the world. An offline event is scheduled to take place on 31 October and 1 November in Utrecht, Netherlands.
Previous editions have featured musicians such as Hardwell, Martin Garrix, Pan-Pot, DJ Sneak, Armin van Buuren, Wildstylez, Kevin Saunderson and Joris Voorn, who shared their musical knowledge by giving insights on music production and their road to success as artists.
Dancefair expects to draw about 10 000 attendees for the virtual event.
