Call for entries: MTN Liberia Music Awards 2020
The MTN Liberia Music Awards have opened nominations ahead of the 2020 edition.
Eligible artists are invited to submit work released between August 2019 and July 2020. To qualify, musicians must be Liberian, have released a minimum of three songs and a video within the calendar year, and be registered with the Liberia Music Awards or possess verifiable contact info.

Nominations are open for songs, artists or groups, videos and videographers, as well as DJs. Entries can be filed here, and the submission deadline is 3 August.
The award platform will recognise work in the following categories:

- New Artist of the Year
- Male Artist of the Year
- Female Artist of the Year
- Hipco/Trapco Artist of the Year
- Traditional/Gbema Artist of the Year
- Gospel Artist of the Year
- Reggae/Dancehall Artist of the Year
- Afropop Artist of the Year
- Hip Hop Artist of the Year
- Song of the Year.
- Afropop Song of the Year
- Hipco/Trapco Song of the Year
- DJ of the Year
- Producer of the Year
- Video of the Year
- Video Director of the Year
- Collaboration of the Year
- Album of the Year
- Lifetime Achievement Award
- Outstanding Achievement Award
- MTN Viewer's Choice Award
Founded in 2008, the scheme describes itself as the "face and voice for the Liberia community worldwide" with the goal of "exposing, promoting and celebrating the music through Africa-fusion music of all styles."
Furthermore, the event looks to honour and recognise talented and hard-working Liberian artists based in Africa and the diaspora. Recognition is also given to organisations and media entities that seek to promote Liberian music and artists.
