SA: Tshego launches YouTube sessions
South African musician Tshego has launched a series YouTube live sessions to entertain fans during the COVID-19 lockdown.
The series' first instalment will be streamed on the rapper's YouTube channel on 9 July at 7.30pm. The Def Jam Africa signee is expected to perform a few of his hit singles and two new songs.
“I want to connect to my fans again," Tshego said. "Not hearing them clap will be hard but knowing that they are home safe and enjoying the music is enough. “With everything that has been happening, when the world was at a halt, the only thing that kept everyone sane was music.”
Tshego entered the music scene in 2017 with the release of his debut EP Since 1990. The EP features such songs as ‘True Story’, ‘The Fire’, ‘Right Now’, ‘Out Here’ and a remix of ‘The Light’ by English musician Sbtrkt.
He earned fame in 2019 following the release of his 13-track debut album Pink Panther, which features the hit single ‘No Ties’ alongside King Monada. Tshego has grown to be a respected artist after working with top rappers Cassper Nyovest, Nasty C, Nadia Nakai and Gemini Major.
More information about Tshego's next session will be announced in due course.
