SA Hip Hop Awards 2020: All the nominees

Now in its ninth edition, the event will run under the theme The New World Order, and will be broadcast on SABC 2 at 8pm. 

SAHHAs director Osmic Menoe said: "After the world was reinstated to hard lockdowns where we all found ourselves confined to our homes, glued to the TV set, computers and our phones via Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Tik Tok and we were told we must get used to the new normal. Thus, the concept theme."

This year's nominees were selected from more than 2000 submissions across various categories, and reflect on the artists that defined South African hip hop from 15 September 2019 to 15 September 2020. Voting is already underway and the public can vote for their favorite artists in the following categories: Song of The Year, Best Collaboration, Best Video, Best Male, Best Female, Best Radio Show and Best Remix.

The public can vote by sending SMS in the following order: SAHHAs+code+nominee to 33110. The code for each category is indicated in brackets and SMSes will cost R1.50. Alternatively, voting can be done via the official website here. Both online and SMS voting will close on 26 November.
