The Bala Brothers in conjunction with African Musical Company invite professionally trained musical theatre performers with extensive experience in singing and acting to audition for various roles in its 2016 musical theatre production of ‘Two Worlds Apart’, written by Raymond Vilakazi and Zwai Bala (formerly of TKZee and fresh from his stint at the Coke Studio Africa in Kenya). This brand new staging includes stage designs from the renowned Andrew Botha.
The production requires actors (in Johannesburg and surrounding areas) of all ages (including children) to be cast in lead, feature and chorus roles. Auditions will take place on Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 December at the Mandela Civic Theatre in Johannesburg.

Relevant roles will be taken through a movement audition with no preparation needed. All auditionees need to bring a one page CV and a full length photograph with them to the audition. Please email these documents as well. Please attend the audition dressed accordingly for both the singing, acting and dance segments. Sheet music for the songs from ‘Les Miserable’ will be supplied for the audition pianist. All other sheet music needs to be brought to the audition.
Successful applicants will be required for rehearsals at the State Theatre in Pretoria from mid/late January 2016. The season will run from 8 March 2016 to 27 March 2016. Subsequent performances will be in Johannesburg in June/July 2016.
