Headies 2021: All the winners

Now in its 14th edition, the awards ceremony was founded by the Hip Hop World Magazine in 2006 and honours some of the most outstanding musicians and music professionals in the country. This year’s event celebrated works released between July 2019 and September 2020. 

Fireboy DML walked away with four awards, including the Best Pop Album, Best R&B Album, Headies Revelation and Best R&B Single trophies. Wizkid won the coveted Artist of the Year accolade. The musician, alongside Simi and DJ Neptune, received two awards apiece.

Other winners on the night included Bad Boy Timz who won the Rookie of the Year trophy, Omah Lay for the Next Rated Act and South Africa’s Master KG who picked up the African Artist recognition accolade.
