Call for applications: 2021 Media Sound Hamburg scholarships
Media Sound Hamburg (MSH) is calling on young film music composers, video game music composers and sound designers to apply for a scholarship to participate in its international summer academy in Hamburg, Germany, between 10 and 15 August.
Now in its 10th edition, the summer academy is held annually and awards film and game composers as well as sound designers scholarships to travel to Germany for masterclasses, workshops and special events, including the MSH conference.
The scholarship will cover meals, accommodation and board worth €3 000 ($3 900).
Last year's edition was cancelled due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Eligibility
Applicants need to:
- Be under 35 years old.
- Have experience in music composition.
- Have a valid passport.
- Have an interest in sound design/film music composition/video game music composition.
Requirements
Applicants will need to submit the following to be considered for the scholarship:
- CV
- HD photo.
- Demo.
- Motivational letter.

Media Sound Hamburg is an international summer academy for film music, game music and sound design, held annually in Hamburg since 2011. At various workshops, masterclasses, and forums, the participants work on specific projects and explore new artistic work ideas.
