Ghana’s BASS Awards calls for submissions
Ghana’s BASS Awards, which recognises and honours reggae musicians, is now open for entries.
At last year’s ceremony, dancehall act Stonebwoy was the big winner, taking away six trophies, including Album of the Year and Artiste of the Year. Nigeria’s Patoranking won the Best International Act category.
An official statement from the board of the awards says the closing date for submissions is 31 October. Work considered must have been released from 31 January – 31 December 2015. Work released outside of these dates will not be considered.
Entries should be sent via email to bassawardsghana@gmail.com.
All entries should be clearly labelled with the name of artist, producer and the category for consideration. The ceremony will take place in December. The exact date is however yet to be announced.
