Ghana: Sarkodie shares No Fugazy single ahead of new album
Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has released his new single 'No Fugazy' ahead of his forthcoming album No Pressure.

The song is available for download and streaming on all major platforms. It arrives three months after the Moelogo-assisted 'Come Back' and was produced by Nigeria’s Rexxie, with accompanying visuals by Capone.
The Afrobeats track derives its name from the slang word, which refers to fake or damaged products. It sees the rapper boasting about his singular fashion sense, which, in turn, functions as a metaphor for his elite status in African rap circles.
No Pressure is expected to arrive on 9 July. It comes two years after his last album Black Love and will be the Mary man’s seventh full-length project since since he began his professional music career in 2005. The upcoming album was executively produced by Sarkodie himself and KJ Spio. It will be released in partnership with live-streaming portal Ceek, which also carried his Black Love virtual concert last year.
“Sorry for the holdup, but you know I always wait for the right time,” Sarkodie said in a video. “Because of the long wait, I’m giving you guys back-to-back music. Big shouts to Ceek for coming onboard with SarkCess Music to come out with this new album. I know it’s been a long wait, so I want to make sure you guys can enjoy this album in the best and most intimate way possible.”
Sarkodie is among the most popular and successful rappers in Africa. The musician is the recipient of more than 100 awards from 184 nominations, including 24 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, 11 trophies at the 3Music Awards, BET Awards and BET Hip Hop Awards, among others.
Meanwhile, Sarkodie is up for nine gongs at this year’s Ghana Music Awards USA, including the coveted Artist of the Year prize, which he won last year.
