Nigeria: Ayra Starr drops Bloody Samaritan ahead of debut album

The dance record was co-written by the 19-year-old singer, produced by London and released on Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records. It is driven by crisp percussion and a horn section, and finds the musician banishing negative energy.

When it is released on 6 August, 19 and Dangerous will be a follow-up to Ayra Starr’s eponymous debut EP, released in January. The project has amassed more than 23 million global streams since it was published, and her breakout single ‘Away’ has racked up over 4 million views on YouTube.
