Matilde Muocha
Bio
Matilde Muocha is a cultural and creatives industries (CCIs) researcher from Mozambique.
She is a creativity management planner for development, and a lecturer in heritage studies and CCIs in Mozambique. Muocha is also an active author in CCIs with several articles and two books published. She edits INCULT Magazine, a publication that deals with the CCIs in her country.
Muocha graduated from University Nacional de Córdoba in Argentina with a postgraduate degree in Creative Cities and Businesses Management. She also graduated from Eduardo Mondlane University in Mozambique with a Masters of Science in History of Africa and Southern Africa. In 2021, she began working on her PhD at the Cultural Policies and Management Department at the Wits School of Arts.
Actually, Matilde Muocha is the Director General for Cultural and Creative Industries in Mozambique. In 2017, she worked as a deputy general director for administration and finances at the Institute of Arts and Culture in Mozambique.
