SEAfrica confirms 2021 creative conference date
The 2021 Showbiz Entertainment Africa (SEAfrica) creative conference will be held at AMPD Studios in Johannesburg, South Africa, on 27 November.
The virtual exhibition is courtesy of Arts Alive and the City of Joburg, and will form part of the Joburg Arts Alive International Festival.
The hybrid event will be livestreamed to audiences in both South Africa and Botswana. It will accommodate online participation and in-person activities.
Now in its sixth edition, the conference will run under the theme, Digital Audience Development, and aims to support, strengthen and promote arts marketing and audience engagement skills of industry professionals. The event will showcase solutions on how to create and retain audiences by keeping up with online trends and new strategies.
“We’re excited for the return of the SEAfrica conference with the critical theme of Digital Audience Development as the entertainment industry navigates the world of COVID-19 and the enormous challenges that it brings, especially for the creative sector,” SEAfrica founder and chairman Peter Sibeko said.
