Bio
TebzaDeMrekza (born Tebogo Moyo on 20 February 2005) is a rapper from Zimbabwe. Tebza grew up in Bulawayo and started performing at an early age and made his public debut at 12 when he performed at a local talent show called GandaGanda from which he proceeded to perform at several shows.
He broke into the music industry professionally in 2018 and went on to release his first single ‘Waz’ khotha ilihlo’ which went on to make it onto several local music charts earning him his first award at the inaugural Bulawayo Arts Awards for the best new artist.
He released his second official single ‘President wama 2000’ in 2020, which also garnered him a second BAA nomination for best Kwaito/Gqom artist. The song is on rotation on channel O. In the same year he also began acting in a local drama ‘iNdla lifa: The heir’, for which he was nominated for best male actor (2020) the Bulawayo Arts Awards.
Tebza considers himself a multi-hyphenate artist who enjoys exploring and expressing himself through different creative avenues. His diversity is also evident in the multiple genres that he has explored thus far from his debut gqom single to his recent hip-hop charting song.
On the 15th of May 2021 he released another single ‘Into Yethu’ featuring Asaph and Fish F Ndaramu. A hard hitting but catchy drill tune. It did well on charts around the country’s radio stations, peaking at number 3 on the ZiFM top 40 chart and staying in the top 5 for weeks in the SkyzMetro FM top 40 chart.
