Call for applications: JM Jazz World Orchestra in Croatia
JM International is inviting young talented jazz musicians aged between 18 and 26 from around the world to apply to be a part of the 2022 JM Jazz World Orchestra (JMJWO). The 2022 session with the orchestra will take place in Grožnjan, Croatia, in July.
The JM Jazz World Orchestra is a premier international youth jazz orchestra comprising 21 talented jazz musicians who are selected through a global open audition by an international jury. The band works with some of the world’s finest conductors, players and composers, and tours annually, appearing at prestigious European venues and jazz festivals.
The JMJWO is a unique opportunity to play with other first-class, young jazz musicians from around the world and to learn from some of the world’s most accomplished jazz virtuosos who direct, mentor and perform alongside the orchestra. On top of maintaining the highest standards of musicianship, the orchestra offers an invaluable intercultural learning experience and a taste of the life of an internationally touring musician.
The 2022 session will offer the perfect setting to rehearse, hang out and soak up the musical history that lives in the village of Grožnjan. The session will begin with a week of rehearsals, followed by a seven to 10 day international festival tour.
