Nigeria: Tekno inks deal with crypto casino operator
Nigerian Afrobeats singer and producer Tekno this week signed an ambassadorial deal with bitcoin-based casino operator Bitcasino.
Founded in 2014, Bitcasino is owned by the Yolo Group. The deal follows the artist’s new single ‘Mufasa’ released last week, and will see him represent the company as a brand influencer globally.
As part of the agreement, Tekno is expected to help deliver a VIP experience to patrons of the platform, including a chance to win personal invitations to watch Premier League matches from an executive box.
“We’re huge fans of his creative and innovative approach to music and that’s what makes him such a perfect match for us,” Yolo Group director of casino Tauri Tiitsaar said, adding that the company was thrilled to welcome Tekno to the team. “Our goal is to bring crypto education closer to Tekno’s fans while also creating more entertainment for our players through this exciting partnership.”
“Bitcasino is the fun, fast and fair place to play and I’m proud to join the team,” Tekno said. “Crypto is a game-changer, in West Africa and beyond, and I couldn’t be happier to work alongside the best crypto-led casino out there.”
The Afrobeats star is behind popular singles, including ‘Duro’, ‘Mama’, ‘Pana’, as well as the Old Romance LP. He is also credited with producing Davido’s ‘If’, and US stars Swae Lee and Drake’s ‘Won’t Be Late’. In 2019, Tekno was also featured on Beyoncé’s album The Lion King: The Gift.
