Call for nominations: 2022 Basadi in Music Awards
The public is invited to nominate their favourite artists ahead of the inaugural Basadi in Music Awards (BIMAs) this August.
The awards were founded by entertainment entrepreneur and public relations professional Hloni Modise. They will honour and celebrate women in the music industry, including singers, rappers, performers, composers and producers, among others.
“The spirit of the awards is to uplift, celebrate and showcase just what women can achieve when given the platform to shine,” the BIMAs said. “We will also honour generations of women who played heroic roles in the liberation of women in the country, the continent of Africa and the world at large.”
To submit an entry, the public can send an SMS with the category name (in brackets below) and name of artist to 49960. E.g. Amapiano Brenda.
Voting lines will close on 9 May at midnight CAT.
