Reggae legend Luciano to play Nairobi concert in June
Jamaican reggae star Luciano will hold a concert in Nairobi, Kenya, on 11 June.
The event dubbed Unite the Youth Concert will see a number of Kenyan performers share the stage with the Grammy-nominated artist at the Waterfront, Ngong Racecourse, in an effort to promote peace ahead of the general elections set for 9 August.
Luciano will also take a safari around the country and conduct a workshop with young musicians as part of a mentorship programme.
Born Jepther McClymont on 20 October 1964, Luciano is highly liked in Kenya and his fans are already looking forward to attending his events organised by Musical Safaris Group Inc.
The singer, who is famous for hits such as ‘Never Give Up My Pride’, ‘Messenger’, and ‘Give Praise’, was last in Kenya in 2017 where he shared the stage with fellow Jamaican superstars Etana and Richie Spice during the Dobba Festival.
