Goethe-Institut Namibia unveils CEP beneficiaries
Goethe-Institut Namibia, in collaboration with GIZ Startup Namibia, has announced the recipients of its 2022 Creative Entrepreneurship Programme (CEP).
The programme, which is in its third edition, seeks to create economic growth in the creative industries, with a focus on performing arts (live music, theatre and dance), design and production (fashion, graphic and interior) and visual arts (painting, photography and sculpture).
The announcement follows an open call inviting local creatives to participate in the programme, which will feature a series of workshops, assignments, review sessions and peer learning. The participants will also be invited to attend masterclasses facilitated by experienced industry leaders.
“The aim of the programme in 2022 remains to encourage and inspire creative entrepreneurs in Namibia towards identifying lucrative business opportunities, developing their business ideas and to refine their business plan, with the long-term aim to create economic growth in the creative industries,” Goethe-Institut Namibia said.
“This year, the CEP is set to end with a final showcase event, which will give the participants the opportunity to apply the lessons learnt in a bid to show the audience what their businesses are capable of.”
Additionally, mentorship and networking sessions will be available to participants based on the content. The programme will also enable the participants to link with a broader network of potential business partners and funders.
