Mr Eazi’s BetPawa to sponsor Ghana Premier League
- Mr Eazi.
This was made public by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) at an official signing ceremony in Accra ahead of the launch of the 2022/23 league on 2 September. The three-year deal is reported to be to the tune of $6 million.
According to the GFA, the partnership will focus on “properly marketing and positioning the elite league to become one of the most successful and attractive on the continent.”
Mr Eazi said: “The company’s high appetite for growing and harnessing talents, creating opportunities, and rewarding fans across its markets are a few of the many reasons for partnering with the GFA."
GFA president Kurt Okraku said: “For the country to be able to compete fiercely and on equal footing with other talents around the globe, there is the need for companies like betPawa and corporate Ghana to contribute to complement the effort of the government.”
Mr Eazi boasts an investment portfolio that also includes the emPawa Africa incubator programme and venture firm Zagadat Capital. In June, betPawa sealed a deal with MTN Rwanda’s fintech subsidiary Mobile Money Rwanda to offer customers a range of payment methods.
Meanwhile, Mr Eazi today released a new single titled ‘Personal Baby’. The record is taken from his forthcoming new album.
