Call for submissions: Adekunle Gold’s #My5StarStory challenge
Submissions are currently ongoing for Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold’s #My5StarStory challenge.
The contest invites up-and-coming musicians to render an original verse to his latest single ‘5 Star’. It follows massive traction that has attended the release of the song, including viral freestyles from fellow top African acts including Simi, M.anifest and 9ice, among others.
The winning artist will be announced on 26 August. He/she will receive a prize package including home studio gear, a Top 20 trending placement on Audiomack, an editorial playlist add on Audiomack, and a push notification to their winning entry to all of their Audiomack followers.
How to Enter
- Download the open-verse version of ‘5 Star’ here.
- Record submission.
- Upload audio onto Audiomack with the title: “5 Star ([Artist Name] #My5StarStory)”.
Note:
- Submissions must be uploaded onto Audiomack to be considered.
- Open Verse Challenge submissions are not eligible for monetisation for those accounts enrolled in AMP.
The deadline for applications is 24 August.
In related news, Audiomack is taking its Keep The Beat Going campaign to Ghana following its launch in Nigeria in June. The initiative, which forms part of the DSP’s global music discovery mission, is geared toward empowering creatives and inspiring listeners to tap into new music from across Africa. It comprises creator workshops, playlists, digital ads and strategic partnerships.
