Bio

Jennifer Jones’s singing career spans a period of more than 30 years, in South Africa and internationally.

In 1993 she performed the title track; Body Talk, for the internationally released feature action film, Terminator Woman.
She performed at the opening and closing of the 1995 Rugby World Cup, singing: Where the World Began.

In 1997 she became the first South African artist to be signed by an international record agency, Sony Music when the company opened its doors in SA. She was nominated for a Grammy award for the song: Mandela, Father of the Nation, and won a Kora, NTVA Stone Award and Mayoral Award of Sedibeng District.

Jennifer Jones was a judge in various national talent competitions, such as Zing, Afrikaans Idols Kaapse Jol 2007 “Tiener Kompetisie” and coach in Supersterre 2007,
She performed on Skouspel, Kaapse Jol, Skouspel Plus, Presidents, Nelson Mandela and Thabo Mbeki inaugurations and on seven of Madibas birthdays.

She toured with and was opening act for, Michael Jackson on the South African leg of his world tour as well as shared the stage with stars, Dionne Warwick (Opening Act), Tina Turner (Opening Act), M People and Dr Alban.
Being an avid philanthropist Jennifer believes in giving back to the community and is LifeLine Vaal Triangle’s ambassador for the past four years she volunteers her time regularly at the LifeLine Vaal branch.

Jennifer Jones has performed on stages worldwide, she is Proudly South African and a great ambassador for its culture, artists and the entertainment industry in general.
