Wizkid to play Apple Music Live on 27 September
Afrobeats star Wizkid will be debuting songs from his upcoming fifth album More Love Less Ego at the Apple Music Live concert, which will be taped on 27 September at the Roundhouse in London.
Launched back in May, the recurring live music series offers musicians a global platform to connect with audiences. It has previously featured exclusive live-streamed performances from international stars such as Harry Styles, Mary J. Blige and Lil Durk.
Wizkid’s show will be available to stream in 165 countries this fall, right in the middle of his world tour which will see him in Amsterdam on 24 November.
“Apple Music has always been a supporter of my career and a major tool in connecting me with my fans,” Wizkid said. “Collaborating with them on something like this is special. I’m excited to debut new music from my forthcoming album More Love Less Ego and share my Apple Music Live show with fans across the world.”
The first African solo artist to enter Apple Music’s Global Daily Top 10 with his global hit ‘Essence’, Wizkid is behind 2020’s Made In Lagos album, which catapulted him to global fame.
“I made this one with a lot of love,” Wizkid has said ahead of More Love Less Ego. “Special thanks to everyone that helped me put this together. You all got a special place in my heart.”
Wizkid's latest single ‘Bad To Me’ was released on Starboy/RCA last week.
