Afro Moment
Bio
The group Afro Moment, born and raised in Maputo, is well known, with its live percussion and DJ sets at parties, weddings and corporate events.
Their debut album “Nights in Maputo” expresses what nightlife is like as the sun sets in this part of Africa with local and international artists in this dance-heavy album.
DJ Bino, who is one of the brothers, moved to Johannesburg for two years in 2017, raising money and shipping sound and studio equipment across the border, while Dom Minito continued building his own studio in his childhood neighborhood of Malhangalene.
They recently participated in the collective session of Jaime Del Valle's Makeda's Drums Radio, they also participated in the Festivals; Bom Dia Rising festival phaphalati Festival and also the 3rd edition of the Maputo Electronic Festival at CCFM.
