Win one of 100 eAr Academy online music courses!
South Africa-based learning institution the eAr Academy, in partnership with the Music In Africa Foundation, is giving away free online music courses to 100 musicians across the African continent.
The eAr Academy employs an innovative, student-centred approach to create complete and rounded musicians. The online school offers courses in piano, drums, guitar, trumpet, electric bass and alto saxophone, and covers seven key facets of music: Tunes, Etudes, Exercises, Reading, Improvisation, Hearing and Theory.
Each course comprises different levels – from beginner to advanced – and includes instructional videos, free learning material and the bespoke ‘Earspace’ where students can collect resources and inspirations and monitor their progress.
Requirements
- The competition is open to all musicians based on the African continent.
- To apply for a free course, you will need to complete the online application form.
- Applicants are required to create a band/artist profile on the Music In Africa website (www.musicinafrica.net). A Music In Africa profile allows music professionals to add a concise professional bio, pictures, videos, music and other career aspects. - The winners may be contacted to provide feedback about their eAr Academy learning experience.
- The 100 winners will be selected by an adjudication panel from the eAr Academy.
- Note: Submitting an application will not guarantee you a free music course.
- The course length for each student will be six (6) months.
The application deadline is 30 December 2022 and the winners will be contacted by 13 January 2023.
