Liberia: J Slught lands brand ambassador deal with restaurant
Liberian singer and producer J Slught last week inked a brand ambassadorial deal with Monrovia-based restaurant chain Korus.
The musician confirmed the development to his over 100 000 followers on Facebook, noting that “it’s a pleasure to join forces to see Liberian businesses grow!”
J Slught, who now becomes the face of the brand, is expected to leverage his growing star power to create added awareness for the company, starting with a number of campaigns.
Born Joseph Wesseh Tah III, the artist signed to BeeVonne Recordz fuses native Liberian sounds with pop music from beyond the borders, including Afrobeats, R&B, soul, gbema, highlife, solo and hip hop.
A multi-award winner, J Slught rose to prominence in 2018 with his hit single ‘Sweet Love’. He is behind other local hits like ‘Lorpu’ and ‘Celebrate’, as well as collections like Home & Beyond and King of the Jungle, which he says form part of his vision of consolidating himself as the country’s pop sweetheart.
Earlier this month, he was shortlisted for the 2022 Afrochella Rising Star challenge, which seeks to support aspiring talent across the continent, offering them a prize package that includes the opportunity to perform live at the festival later this month in Accra, Ghana.
