Zim: 2023 NAMAs announce winners
The winners of the 2023 National Arts Merit Awards (NAMAs) in Zimbabwe were announced at the Harare International Conference Centre at the weekend.
Zimdancehall singer Freeman and music trio Leo Magozz, Bling 4 and Brian Jack were the biggest winners in the music categories. Freeman took home the Outstanding Male Musician and Outstanding Album accolades while Leo Magozz, Bling 4 and Brian Jeck received the Outstanding Newcomer and Outstanding Song trophies.
Gospel singer Dorcas Moyo walked away with the Outstanding Female Musician Award while Theo Chigumira came tops in the controversial People’s Choice category.
