Call for entries: 2023 Mzantsi Jazz Awards in SA
South African jazz musicians, recording companies, radio stations and jazz clubs are invited to submit entries for the seventh edition of the Mzantsi Jazz Awards to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa, on 26 August.
Melorie Jane is one of the winners of the 2023 awards.
The awards celebrate, appreciate and venerate jazz as a musical form that not only entertains but also uplifts and heals the artist and the listener alike.
Applicants are invited to submit work produced between 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2023. Entries may be submitted online here before 31 May. You can also download the nomination form and email it to zajazzawards.co.za.
The announcement of the nominees will be made through direct communication with the artists and the media before 30 June.

- Best Contemporary Jazz Album
- Best Female Jazz Artist
- Best Male Jazz Artist
- Best Foreign Jazz Artist
- Best Jazz Song
- Best International Collaboration Jazz Album
- Best Jazz Club

- Best Traditional Jazz Album
