Call for auditions: Nairobi Battle of the Choirs Competition

Eligibility

The competition is open to all religious choirs within Nairobi County. Participants must be over the age of 18 years and belong to a group with a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 45 members.

Registration

To participate, choirs must register via this link before 20 March.

Performance

Each choir is allowed to perform two songs, one of which must be an a cappella performance. Choirs may not exceed the allotted performance time of 10 minutes.

Conduct

Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner at all times during the competition. Any form of discrimination, harassment or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification.

Judging

The competition will be judged by a panel of judges selected by the organisers. The judges’ decisions will be final and binding.

Awards

The winning choir will receive a cash prize of Ksh2m (about $15 000) and a trophy. The first and second runners-up will receive cash prizes of Ksh1m and Ksh500 000, respectively.

Photography and filming

By participating in the competition, participants agree to be photographed and filmed during the competition for promotional purposes.

Liability

The organisers of the Nairobi Battle of the Choirs Competition will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage to participants or their property.

Copyright

Participants must ensure that they have obtained all necessary permissions and licences for any copyrighted material they perform during the competition.

Amendments

The organisers reserve the right to amend the terms and conditions of the competition at any time.
