Call for applications: NewComma Creative Fund July cycle
Applications are ongoing for the July cycle of the NewComma Creative Fund for African creators.
NewComma is a pan-African portfolio platform for creatives to share their work and find jobs. The fund runs with the vision to support upcoming African creatives.
The call applies to professionals and enthusiasts seeking financial support for their creative projects, providing a one-time contribution of £100 (about $120) to help initiate or sustain these projects.
To date, the fund has awarded over $4 500 to 17 recipients across the continent. Last week, the organisation announced that it had successfully completed its initial round of funding with the support of UK investment firm SFC Capital to help NewComma enhance its technological development and enable African/Black creatives’ efforts in transforming the global creative industry.
Applicants can submit up to three projects to be reviewed per month.
