SA: Khanyi Mbau to host 2023 Basadi in Music Awards
South African media personality Khanyi Mbau will host the second edition of Basadi in Music Awards (BIMAs) at the Joburg Theatre on 12 August.
The announcement follows the unveiling of nominees on 29 June, with Lwah Ndlunkulu leading the list with four awards.

With a month left before the awards ceremony, the organisers have already announced recipients of the CEO’s Mosadi in Business Award and Mosadi in Music in Africa Award. Berita (Zimbabwe), Maleh (Lesotho), Mpho Sebina (Botswana) and S3fa (Ghana) were announced as the recipients of the Mosadi in Music in Africa Award for their exceptional leadership, innovation and resilience in their respective ventures, while Nhlanhla Mafu, Thando Thabethe and Boity will receive the CEO Mosadi in Business Achievement Award for their leadership, innovation and resilience in their respective ventures.
