Ghana: Stonebwoy scores another endorsement deal
Ghanaian beauty products manufacturer Ghandour Cosmetics (GC) has announced a partnership with Afro-dancehall singer Stonebwoy and his family.
The deal, which was made public last week, makes Stonebwoy the face of the company’s Soldier and Style Up products, while his wife, Louisa Ansong-Satekla, will represent Princess and Kleanz brands. Their children, Jidula and Janam, will be involved in promoting baby care products.
“We are thrilled to announce the newest partnership between the GC Brand by Ghandour Cosmetics Ltd and the talented Stonebwoy, his beautiful wife, Louisa, and amazing children, Jidula and Janam,” the company said. “Join us as we embark on this incredible adventure that unites our shared vision that celebrates beauty and excellence.”
Stonebwoy lauded the GC Brand, stressing a shared dedication to offering customers and fans an outstanding experience while upholding local quality that meets international standards. The partnership will be followed by a media campaign and various consumer activities in the coming months.
The deal adds to a growing list of endorsement roles for Stonebwoy, who boasts associations with Tecno Mobile, Big Boss energy drink and cryptocurrency company Yellow Card among others.
Meanwhile, Stonebwoy was presented with a plaque while performing at SummerStage in New York, US, at the weekend, after his latest album, 5th Dimension, debuted at No 8 on Billboard’s World Reggae Albums Chart.
Speaking to Music In Africa recently, Stonebwoy described the LP as a major triumph, noting that it has not only captivated local audiences but also gained recognition on the global stage.
“I think it’s amazing to see the love that the album is getting and people are really respecting the work input, the thought, passion, the energy and the resources that we’ve invested in this album for their consumption,” he said. “I think the reception is heart-warming.”
