Open call: British Council Ghana creative and cultural industries curator

The creative economy showcase programme seeks to foster connections among Ghanaian creative individuals by granting them access to the British Council’s prominent and strategic exhibition venues where they can display their work or perform.

The call represents an opportunity for an experienced curator within Ghana’s creative and cultural industries to collaborate with the British Council as a delivery partner, leading and shaping diverse creative initiatives. 

The role involves conceiving, organising and executing creative economy showcases, dynamic creative hustles and workshop programmes as integral components of the Season of Arts. 

The role also entails ensuring the careful selection of captivating artists, creators and cultural talents that resonate with diverse audiences. 

The deadline for applications is 28 August.

The British Council operates in many countries around the world, establishing enhanced connections with the UK to foster the exchange of knowledge and understanding about international creative industries.

Additionally, it aims to enhance the abilities of creative experts and policymakers in supporting sustainable creative sectors within their respective countries through training, facilitating platforms for policymakers and practitioners to collaborate on strategies for sector growth and encouraging cross-border sharing of best practices.
