Black Sherif and Kofi Kinaata triumph at Pulse Ghana Influencer Awards 2023
Musicians Black Sherif and Kofi Kinaata emerged triumphant at Pulse Ghana Influencer Awards 2023, whose winners were announced from the capital Accra at the weekend.
Now in its third year, the programme, which ran under the theme The Golden Era: Bold and Elegant, honoured local influencers across various fields, including dance, music, media, tech and sports.
Ahead of the awards, Pulse Ghana director of sales and strategy Eli Daniel-Wilson said: “Influencer marketing has grown significantly over the years and brands have played a pivotal role in this growth. So for us, it is important that we celebrate and recognise the best in class content creators and influencers.”
Black Sherif won the Music Influencer of the Year prize, which organisers say celebrates emerging musicians who use digital media to showcase their unique styles and connect with fans. He takes over from singer Amaarae, who clinched the trophy last year, and his win arrives days after it emerged that he had won the Best International Flow Award at the 2023 BET Hip Hop Hop Awards.
On his part, Kofi Kinaata emerged victorious in the LinkedIn Influencer of the Year category highlighting individuals who have leveraged the platform to bring more light to the work that they do by sharing and connecting with other professionals.
Choreographer Endurance Grand, the night’s other big winner, took home the trophies for Dance Influencer of the Year and TikTok Influencer of the Year.
