GP-MaOrange

Bio

GP-MaOrange (born Israel Matseke Zulu) is a singer, dancer and poet from South Africa known for his role as GP in the SABC1 drama series 'Gaz'lam'.

In 1997, he formed a theatre group called Abanqobi Drama Group. Zulu played the role of a gang leader in prison, and ended up recording a sound track 'Sorry Sarge' with the late kwaito star Mandoza. His first solo album 'Ghetto Professor' was released in 2006 and featured songs such as 'Gumbafaya' and 'Ishumi Leminyaka'.

He later recorded a soundtrack called 'Hlabalaza' for the Jerusalem movie and featured on Dr Mageu and Sbu Amaloya track called 'Shanda Phaa24/7'.

In 2015, Zulu had a starring role in the e.tv drama series Z'bondiwe as Jakes Masilo. In 2016, he debuted on the Mzansi Magic soapie isiBaya playing the role of a gangster called Cyprian Gumbi.

Zulu has starred in several movies including Tsotsi (2005), Dora's Peace (2016) and Hard to Get (2014), iNumber Number (2016), First Grader and No.1 Female Detective Agency among others.
