Open call: DStv Content Creator Awards 2024

Entrants are encouraged to enter multiple categories if applicable but can submit only one entry per category. This year, the DStv Content Creator Awards will go continental with the inclusion of the Pan-African Creator Award category, which is designed to celebrate talent in countries outside of South Africa.

Interested entrants can submit entries here before to 21 June.

The road to the awards ceremony is as follows:

• Workshops: June and July.
• Judging: July.
• Nominee announcement: August.
• Voting opens (public voting categories only): August.
• Voting closes: September.
• Awards show: October.

“This year is about storytelling in all its forms. It’s about the narrative, the stories, and, most importantly, the unique points of view of each content creator. It’s about celebrating the creator’s own perspective – the unfiltered, original POV of content creation that brings stories to life,” the awards said.

• Song of the Year Award (opens for public voting once the five nominees are announced)
• Thumb-stopping Award
• Best Event After Movie Award 
• Podcast of the Year Award
• Storyteller Award (10 minutes to 30 minutes)
• Best Creator Campaign Award
• Social Commentary Award
• DStv Creator of the Year Award (public voting once the nominees are announced)
• Emerging Creator Award (public voting once the five nominees are announced)
• Cause Award (public voting once the five nominees are announced)
• Pan-African Creator Award
• Trendsetter Award (public voting once the five nominees are announced)
