Win tickets to Bassline Fest 2024!
Music In Africa, in partnership with Bassline Fest, is giving away two double general admission tickets to this year’s event at Constitutional Hill in Johannesburg on 25 May.
The festival will celebrate Africa Day through music. South African singer Lira will headline the festival and will be joined by Maleh (Lesotho), Kadilida (Tanzania), Jay Mitta (Tanzania) and Rita Kamale (Morocco).
For the first time, Bassline Fest will be featuring the DanceAfrika stage, which will include performances by DJ Sebb (Reunion), Samuel Miller (UK) and FiNE (Australia) as well as South Africa’s Tamara Dey, Kamanga, Si-Noir, Pablo, Shamiso and Juma.
How to enter
To stand a chance to win tickets for yourself and a friend, name two music acts that will perform at Bassline Fest 2024.
Submit your answer to info@musicinafrica.net with ‘Bassline Fest 2024’ in the subject line of the email along with the following personal details:
- First name and surname
- Email address
- Phone number
- Country of residence
- ID/passport number (this information will be kept confidential)
The competition runs from 15 May to 23 May at 12pm. The winner will be contacted on 24 May.

Competition rules
- The competition runs from 15 May to 23 May at 12pm.
- You can only enter the competition once. Multiple entries will be disqualified.
- To be eligible you have to complete all the required fields. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
- Each winner will receive no more than two (2) general admission tickets.
- This tickets will grant the winner(s) access to the festival from 2pm on Saturday 25 May to 2am on Sunday 26 May 2024.
- The Music In Africa Foundation shall only offer the said tickets. Winners will have to provide their own transport to and from the event, arrange for their own accommodation and any other relevant expenses.
- For entrants outside of South Africa, this competition is only open to holders of a valid passport.
- Prizes are not transferable and are not negotiable.
- No prize shall be exchangeable for money.
- No employee or board member of the Music In Africa Foundation, members of their immediate family or employees of partner organisations may enter.
- If a winner is unable to take up a prize for any reason, or if the Music In Africa Foundation/Bassline Fest has not been able to contact the winner after making reasonable efforts, the Music In Africa Foundation reserves the right to award that prize (without notice to the first winner chosen) to an alternative winner, in which case the first winner chosen shall not be eligible for any share of the prize whatsoever. The Music In Africa Foundation shall not be liable in such eventuality.
- Automated entries, bulk entries or third-party entries will be disqualified.
- Any violation or attempt to violate any of the above rules will result in the immediate disqualification of the transgressor.
