Sebonwang

Sebonwang Moreeng is an Afro jazz musician. Born and raised in thaba-nchu, a small town in the Free State province. Sebonwang 's musical journey began at the age of 11 at Mmabana cultural centre as a trumpet student, where she joined Melodi jazz band. Recognising her vocal talent, Hope Khumalo invited her to become an official member of the band.

Sebonwang's musical career progressed as she joined another band, Thari, serving as the lead singer and performing at numerous corporate events across Free State. She further refined her skills ad the lead vocalist for the band Mafika which performed at notable events as a macufe homebrew.

In addition to her public performances, Sebonwang 's role as a worship leader in her church has significantly influenced her musical development, allowing her to transition between the genres of jazz and gospel.
