Open call: Co-Cr8 artist residency programme in Kaduna, Nigeria
Applications are currently ongoing for this year’s Co-Cr8 artist residency programme in Kaduna, Nigeria.
Funded by the African Culture Fund and scheduled for October to November, this four-week, cross-disciplinary initiative brings together six emerging artists from various disciplines, including dance and performance.
Organisers say it aims to foster artistic growth and cultural exchange.
Selected artists will collaborate in duos or trios to create new works exploring themes such as identity and climate emergency, inspired by the Kaduna Fashion and Art Exhibition (KAFART)’s theme, ‘From Whence We Came’.
The residency includes mentorship from the Atelier Ndokette collective, with the final creations showcased at the fifth edition of KAFART.
