Ghana: KJ Spio teams up with Gyakie for Days Pass By single
Ghanaian music executive KJ Spio has partnered with singer Gyakie for a new single titled ‘Days Pass By’, which is available for streaming and download on all major digital platforms.
Produced by BlaiseBeatz, who has worked with Afrobeats stars like Ruger and Davido, the record follows other recent releases by KJ Spio, including ‘Undress You’ and ‘Jealous’.
Thematically, ‘Days. Pass By’ orbits romantic themes, underscoring a desire for reciprocity in emotional connection.
“We wanted to tell a story that resonated with both of us,” KJ Spio said. “With this record, it’s a story we both agree on. It’s a relatable story. When you have a special bond with someone so special that you want to share it.”
KJ Spio has worked with international artists including UK-born Big Narstie, Ghana’s Sarkodie and Efya, as well as Nigerian producer Blaq Jerzee. He is credited with nurturing talent and expanding their global presence across music, TV and sports.
KJ has served as executive producer and A&R for Sarkodie’s No Pressure album. His portfolio also includes partnerships with major brands such as the NFL, Audiomack, Reebok, and MoneyGram.
Launching her career with ‘Love is Pretty’ in 2019, Gyakie garnered international attention, and she is celebrated for hits like ‘Forever,’ featured on her debut EP Seed, as well as other popular offerings like ‘Never Like This’, ‘Whine’, ‘Scar’ and ‘December’. She is signed to Sony Music West Africa.
