Zim Hip Hop Awards 2024: All the nominees 

Leading the race for Best Male Artist are standout nominees such as Voltz JT, Holy Ten, and Bling4, while the fiercely contested Best Female Artist category features talents like Banshee, Young Gemini, and Hanna.

Collaboration is at the heart of this year’s awards, with tracks like ‘Whiskey Gore Remix’ by 216 and ‘Vakomana’ by Scrip Mula featuring Holy Ten vying for Best Collaboration. In addition, the Best Hip Hop Group category highlights the strength of collective artistry, with nominees such as Kbrizzy and Phanas, Mula Nation, and Uchiha Empire Clan. Producers who have shaped the sound of Zimbabwean hip hop, including Phanas, Calvin Made It, and Jax da Beat Bully, will compete for Best Producer honours.

This year’s awards also spotlight the next generation of stars, with the Best Newcomer category featuring rising artists like Runna Rulez, Terry Tempo, and Mr Nyamz. Meanwhile, talents like Holy Ten and Voltz JT battle it out for the coveted Song of the Year award with hits like ‘Mukoma Brian’ and ‘B’anga.’ For visual artistry, the Video of the Year category will honour directors behind standout productions like ‘Jerusalema’ by Bagga and ‘Vakoma’ by Scrip Mula featuring Holy Ten.

With 27 categories in total, including Best Album, People’s Choice Award, and Lifetime Achievement Award, the event promises to honour not only artistry but also the industry’s broader contributions. Take Fizzo is set to receive the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award, while the Positive Social Impact Award will recognise individuals like Jason Gwanzura and Voltz JT for their contributions beyond music.
