Lawless King
Bio
Lawless King (born Sithembiso Dladla) is a KwaZulu-Natal-born hip hop artist based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
He began writing songs in 2005 and started recording his music two years later in bedroom studios in and around his neighbourhood, we gotta start somewhere right? He recorded and released numerous singles and mixtapes, as we can imagine were not very good quality but it was all part of the journey learning and grooming his talent as an artist to producing and song writing .
Lawless King then known as C-Man short for Caveman made a name for himself amongst other names in the regional music scene both as an artist and a producer who then took a break from the spotlight to help other upcoming artists producing their music and writing songs then he ventured to fashion with his co owned Focus Ntwana clothing brand and events coordinating. The man has many talents and is not afraid to explore them, so much he achieved before his 28th birthday.
His love for music prevailed as it saw him packing his bags and moving to the big city of Johannesburg late 2018 to pursue his musical career in the mainstream industry and boy is he bringing fire!
"They say a picture is worth a thousand words, what I do is painting a picture using words." Says the versatile musician who also plays drums like a king.
What stands out the most about his music is his smart way of storytelling with a hint of comedy, very entertaining will always make you smile.
The 29 year old Richards Bay born Rapper/ Singer adequately expresses his emotions and personal experiences through his music. We can safely say he is an animated fellow based on the music he makes and the party life sounds as he calls it a "Turnup Music".
After moving to Johannesburg he got in studio with Mambo Faceless of Mambo Music Productions and started work on his album Turnup Musiq which he describes as a Good Time Vibes album but also contains some heartfelt tracks like Uthando ft RubyGold and Missed Calls.
His format is different from that of most rappers though there are some but most rappers would focus their energy into dropping bars which most people don't even understand, while on the other hand Lawless King is content with what he is doing and gets his point across swiftly not seeking validation from his peers or trying to prove himself, he talks to your heart and moves your spirit and that shows experience.
"I don't know really, see I never really plan or decide what to do on my record, I just do what comes naturally as God put in my spirit cos that's where my creativity comes from."- he says when asked which one he likes the most between singing and rapping, we love it all.
