Music In Africa Foundation releases ACCES 2024 after-movie
The Music In Africa Foundation has unveiled the much-anticipated after-movie of the 2024 edition of the Music In Africa Conference for Collaborations, Exchange and Showcases (ACCES) held from 14 to 16 December in Kigali, Rwanda.
Available on YouTube, the five-minute video was produced by Ethical Production and encapsulates the energy, innovation, and collaboration that defined this landmark event for the African music industry.
Set against the backdrop of the iconic Kigali Convention Centre, the video highlights powerful keynote addresses by Rwanda’s State Minister for Youth and Arts, Sandrine Umutoni, South African music legend Yvonne Chaka Chaka, renowned Rwandan musician and educator Mighty Popo and South African rapper Nasty C. Their inspiring speeches set the stage for discussions aimed at advancing Africa’s music industry through creativity, partnerships, and strategic growth.
ACCES 2024 brought together an impressive line-up of over 40 speakers and leading music executives from 40 countries, alongside more than 300 music businesses. The after-movie vividly captures the conference’s vibrant atmosphere, showcasing the bustling exhibition lobby and organic networking sessions that fuelled collaboration among industry professionals.
A standout feature of the video is the two-day showcase festival at the Mundi Centre, where 20 electrifying acts from across the continent delivered unforgettable performances. Representing nations such as South Africa, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Mozambique, these artists brought the diversity and dynamism of African music to life.
