Esinam and Sibusile Xaba share debut duo album Healing Voices

First introduced through the March 2024 single ‘Africa Wola’, the project is a meditative exploration of healing, anchored in themes of freedom, unconditional love, and spiritual consciousness. The duo’s rich sonic palette fuses ancestral rhythms, soulful improvisation, and deeply layered instrumentation into a resonant body of work.
“Healing Voices explores freedom and unconditional love as the two primary ingredients for healing,” Sibusile Xaba said. “The album’s beauty and depth is in its politeness, every tune is surrounded by good vibes and motions of trusting every moment of creativity.”
The partnership between Esinam and Xaba was first formed during the creation of ‘Flowing River’, featured on Esinam’s 2023 solo album Shapes in Twilights of Infinity. That initial musical conversation has now evolved into the album’s second single, ‘Flowing Keep Flowing’, a contemplative yet rhythmically compelling piece that speaks to spiritual continuity and connection.
The album’s standout track ‘Akadi’ is a layered invocation of love and light, blending the Ewe and Zulu languages to create a message rooted in the rejection of negativity. Its prominent bassline serves as a grounding force, reinforcing the album’s deep ties to African musical traditions.
‘Ready for Love’, another key single, is a heartfelt expression of boundless affection—whether for family, friends, or self—while ‘Send It’, the final single before the album’s release, delivers a motivational call to uplift one’s spirit emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
The album comprises eleven tracks, including ‘Dololo’, ‘yeMA’ (a rearrangement of a traditional song), ‘Umhale’, ‘Inner-Cosmic-Imagination’, ‘Vuma’, and ‘Uhambo’, offering listeners a genre-defying, cross-cultural journey into sound healing and transcendence.
All songs, except ‘yeMA’, ‘Ready to Love’, and ‘Vuma’, were co-written and composed by Esinam and Sibusile Xaba. ‘Ready to Love’ is solely penned by Esinam, Vuma by Xaba, while ‘yeMA’ reimagines a traditional piece. The album was co-produced by Esinam, Xaba, and Jérémy Michel, who also handled mixing duties, with mastering by Angström.
Healing Voices was recorded at Lowman’s Land Studio, with artwork and layout by Leago Nna and photography by Maël G. Lagadec. The album is released under W.E.R.F records / KAAP and distributed by N.E.W.S NV, with executive production by Benny Claeysier.
With Healing Voices, Esinam and Xaba offer more than an album—they present a spiritual invitation to reflect, heal, and reconnect with ancestral frequencies, through a contemporary pan-African lens.
The album is available for streaming and download on major digital platforms.
