
Call for registrations: Andariya workshops in Uganda
Andariya, a digital and cultural platform in Sudan, South Sudan and Uganda, is calling on performing and visual artists based in Kampala, Uganda, to register for a digital branding and music workshop on 28 November and an augmented and virtual reality workshop on 29 November at The Square and Tribe venues respectively.
- Sudanese percussionist Salma Palmer will be one of the workshop facilitators.
The Digital Branding and Music Workshop will provide insight for participants to engage with and tap into the knowledge and experience of established musicians.
Some of the participants will include musicians Kawaja Revolution (South Sudan), Denaya Denis (South Sudan), Barood Black (Sudan) and Mohamed Hashim (Sudan) as well as percussionist Salma Palmer (Sudan) and poet Ade the Truth (South Sudan).
Registration is free and interested individuals can access the application form here.
The workshop will cover the following topics:
- How to create engaging content online.
- How to grow your brand using social media marketing.
- How to identify and utilize opportunities with various stakeholders.
- How to manage your online reputation including negative reviews.
The Augmented and Virtual Realities workshop will be conducted by Sudan-based tech guru Saad Chinoy, who will provide insight into the implementation of AR & VR tools in digital storytelling.
