Call for entries: RMN Classical albums
UK-based record label RMN Classical is accepting entries from composers that own works of electroacoustic, acousmatic and sound-art music, for an opportunity to see their work published in a contemporary music album.
Since 2016, the label has released a series of albums to promote contemporary music in its various genres and forms. It has also discovered a number of original composers that would otherwise remain unnoticed.
RMN Classical will produce successful applicants' works and release them commercially worldwide through RMN Music. Distribution will be done via various platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play Music and Amazon Music.
Additionally, the prestigious British Library in London will add the winning works to its sound and music archive.
The deadline for the application is 24 February 2019. Successful composers will be notified by end of March 2019.
How to participate
Interested individuals can complete the online application form and submit live and/or studio recordings of contemporary or experimental works in the field of electronic music, traditional acoustic instruments, voices and percussions or other influences with the exemption of jazz and pop styles.
There is an application fee of £37 ($47) per work submitted before 27 January and £64 per work submitted afterwards.
RMN Classical will cater for all costs after the composers have been selected.
Eligibility
Participants above the age of 18 years from any country can submit a link to a folder containing the following materials:
- Recording(s) in MP3 (live and/or studio recordings).
- The music score in PDF (if available).
